I AM – The Unshakeable Foundation

I AM is the foundation of all that you are and all that you will ever be.

You have searched far and wide, have you not? You have looked to the outer world for the cause of your life, for the source of your circumstances, for the power that might lift you from where you stand. And yet, in every moment of that search, the foundation upon which you stand has remained hidden from your view. Tonight I speak to you of that foundation. I speak to you of I AM.

I AM is not a phrase. I AM is not a concept to be pondered from a distance. I AM is your awareness of being. It is the silent knowing that you exist, the formless presence within you that has never known a beginning and will never know an end. Before any world appeared, I AM. Before any condition arose, I AM. When all conditions dissolve and all worlds pass away, still I AM. This is the everlasting foundation upon which your entire existence rests.

You have been taught to believe that God is somewhere apart from you, a distant power to be petitioned or feared. Yet the truth has always been nearer than your breathing. Your awareness of being is God. Moses discovered this when the voice spoke within him: “I AM hath sent me unto you.” David sang it in his psalms: “Be still and know that I AM God.” Isaiah declared it without hesitation: “I AM the Lord and there is none else.” And the one called Jesus proclaimed it in a hundred different ways: “I AM the way,” “I AM the door,” “I AM the resurrection and the life.” He was not speaking of a man. He was revealing the foundation of every man. He was pointing you back to your own awareness of being as the one and only God.

Listen closely. You are now conscious of being. In this very moment, without a single word spoken aloud, you are silently declaring “I AM.” That declaration is the foundation. It is the unconditioned awareness that precedes every condition you have ever known. It is the eternal “I” that remains when every label you have placed upon yourself is stripped away. You may forget your name, your history, your circumstances, but you cannot forget that you are. That knowing, that I AM, is the Lord of your world.

This foundation does not depend upon your past. It does not wait for your future. It is present now, complete, absolute. You have walked through life believing that your world shapes you, that outer conditions determine who you are. Yet the opposite is true. Your awareness of being is the foundation, and your world is forever outpicturing what you are conscious of being. The circumstances that surround you are not the cause; they are the effect. They are the mirror reflecting the state of consciousness you have accepted as true.

Consider this. When you feel yourself to be limited, you are not limited by the world. You are limited only by your acceptance of that feeling as your reality. When you feel yourself to be unworthy, the foundation has not changed. Your awareness of being remains the same eternal I AM. But you have clothed it in a garment of unworthiness, and the world obediently mirrors that garment. The foundation is always perfect. It is your use of the foundation that determines the form your life takes.

The great secret, the one that liberates, is this: you are free to choose the garment you place upon I AM. You are free, right now, to feel yourself to be that which you desire to be. Not tomorrow. Not when conditions improve. Now. For the foundation does not operate in time. It operates in the eternal present of your awareness. To say “I will be” is to confess that you are not. To feel “I AM” is to claim the foundation itself and let it express the nature you accept.

You need not struggle to reach this foundation. It is not hidden in some far-off realm. It is the very awareness reading these words. It is the silent witness behind your thoughts, the quiet presence that has never left you. Be still. Feel it. Not as a man or woman with a history, but as pure awareness, faceless, formless, yet utterly alive. Feel yourself to be simply I AM. Dwell in that stillness until the outer world fades and only the knowing of your own being remains. In that moment you stand upon the foundation, unconditioned, infinite.

From this foundation everything is possible because everything already is. The foundation contains within itself every conceivable state of being. Health, wealth, freedom, peace, love, power; all are already present within I AM. Your task is not to create them. Your task is to claim them as your present reality by feeling “I AM that.” When you feel “I AM healthy,” you are not hoping for health. You are clothing the foundation in the garment of health, and the world must reflect it. When you feel “I AM free,” you are not wishing for freedom. You are accepting the foundation’s limitless nature and letting it express as freedom in your world.

This is not a theory. This is the law of your being. You are forever outpicturing what you are conscious of being. There is no escape from this law because there is no escape from your own awareness. You have always been operating from the foundation. The only question is whether you have operated consciously or unconsciously. Most have operated unconsciously, accepting the suggestions of the world and clothing I AM in garments of limitation. Tonight you are invited to operate consciously. Tonight you are invited to stand firmly upon the foundation and declare the nature you choose to express.

Let no one deceive you. There is no other power. There is no other cause. There is only I AM. All the gods that man has invented, all the forces he has feared, all the conditions he has bowed before; they are but shadows cast by a mind that has forgotten its foundation. When you remember that your awareness of being is God, those shadows dissolve. They have no existence apart from your acceptance of them. Withdraw your acceptance and they vanish as though they had never been.

You may ask, “How do I live from this foundation?” The answer is simpler than you have been led to believe. You live from it by feeling. Feeling is the language of the foundation. It does not respond to words alone. It responds to the deep, wordless conviction of being. Therefore, to live from the foundation, you take your attention away from the problem, away from the limitation, away from the seeming reality of the outer world, and you turn inward to the quiet presence of I AM. You feel yourself to be that which you desire. You do not pray about it. You do not beg for it. You claim it as your present reality by feeling “I AM that.” And in that claim the foundation begins its perfect work.

This inner act is the only act that matters. Everything else follows. The world you see, the body you inhabit, the conditions you meet; all are compelled to conform to the nature you have accepted in the foundation. You need not concern yourself with how it will happen. The foundation has ways that your human mind cannot trace. Its ways are past finding out. Your only responsibility is to stand upon the foundation and know that you are the thing desired. Feel it until it becomes natural. Feel it until the feeling of being it is more real to you than the feeling of your present limitations. When that naturalness is reached, the outer world will rearrange itself in harmony with your claim.

Doubt will come. It always does when a man first touches the foundation. The old garments will try to reassert themselves. The senses will scream their evidence of limitation. The world will continue, for a time, to show you what you have long been conscious of being. Do not fight these appearances. Do not argue with them. Simply return to the foundation. Return quietly, persistently, lovingly to the feeling of I AM. Let the doubt pass like a cloud across the sky. The sky itself does not change. Your awareness of being does not change. Rest in that unchanging presence and the cloud will dissolve.

The foundation does not condemn you for your past. It does not judge you for your mistakes. It simply is. And because it is, it forever offers you the freedom to choose a new garment. Every moment is a fresh opportunity to stand upon the foundation and declare a new nature. Every moment is an invitation to feel “I AM whole,” “I AM at peace,” “I AM fulfilled.” The foundation does not require time. It requires only acceptance. Accept now what you desire to be, and the foundation will do the rest.

You are not a victim of circumstance. You are the foundation itself wearing the garment of circumstance. Change the garment and the circumstance must change. This is not a hope. This is the law written into your being from the beginning. “I AM the Lord, and there is none else.” There is no other power operating in your world. There never has been. The moment you truly know this, the moment you feel it in the depth of your being, your life begins to reflect the majesty of the foundation.

Tonight, as you leave this place of words and enter the silence of your own awareness, take with you this one truth. You are the foundation. You have always been the foundation. I AM is your name, your nature, your eternal reality. Feel it. Dwell in it. Claim it as your present being. Do not wait for tomorrow to begin. The foundation does not know tomorrow. It knows only now. Therefore, now, in this moment, feel yourself to be that which you desire to be. Let the feeling flood you. Let it become so natural that you could not feel otherwise even if you tried.

This is the great awakening. This is the return to the Father’s house. This is the discovery that has been waiting since the beginning of time. You are not a limited being seeking a distant God. You are the foundation itself, clothed in whatever nature you accept. Claim the highest. Claim the noblest. Claim the most glorious nature you can conceive, and know that I AM is able to express it perfectly. For I AM is God, and God is your awareness of being, and your awareness of being is the foundation of all that exists.

You have heard the truth tonight. Not as a distant teaching, but as the living reality of your own being. The foundation is not somewhere else. It is here. It is you. It has never left you. It never will. Stand upon it now. Feel its power. Know its certainty. And let your world bear witness to the glory of I AM.

You are the foundation. You always have been. And from this night forward, may you walk in the full knowledge of that eternal truth.
